FBE Instructor Requirements
Certification and Experience
- Fusion Bonded Epoxy Certification
- 5 years’ direct industry experience in the pipeline coatings industry, protective coatings industry, or a related industrial coatings field
- 5 years’ work experience monitoring, overseeing, or performing operations at a coating application facility
- Ability to demonstrate and explain basic equipment operation and maintenance relevant to FBE application and inspection
Preferred Requirements
- CIP Level 2 Certification
- Laboratory testing experience
- Familiarity with the following standards: NACE SP-0394, ISO-21809-2, CSA-Z245.20
- Familiarity with ASTM, SSPC, and ISO procedures relevant to material testing
Education
Must meet one of the following:
- High School Graduate/GED with an additional 10 years’ work experience
- 4 Year Diploma
- Professional Engineer
- Advanced Education (Master’s or PhD)
